Karapapas
Paleochori
Karapapas isn’t a grape you stumble on by accident. It’s rare, stubborn, and almost forgotten, until Apostolidis brought it back to life in the Paleochori vineyards of Kavala. This is not a red made to please the masses. It’s made to stand out.
Light ruby in the glass but full of intent, Karapapas comes at you with sour cherry, wild rose, spice, and a touch of earth. Bright fruit, firm tannins, and a raw mineral streak remind you this is mountain-born, not factory-made. Oak is there only to frame, never to soften.
Karapapas is a red with attitude: elegant but opinionated, mysterious but precise. A wine that doesn’t ask for attention, it takes it.
