Conde De los Andes Rioja Blanco 2021 gives Viura room to show its depth. Made from 100% Viura grown on mature vines, it brings together the freshness of Rioja’s white grape and the texture of careful oak maturation. The result is a white with presence, built as much for the table as for the glass.

The grapes are harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place in fine-grained French oak, with time on the lees and regular stirring to develop texture. Further maturation in the same barrels, followed by rest in bottle, gives the wine time to settle and bring its elements together.

Pale gold in the glass, it combines citrus and white-flower aromas with vanilla and a gentle toasted edge. The palate is structured and fresh, its balanced acidity carrying the richer texture through a silky, persistent finish. Oak adds another layer without taking away the wine’s sense of lift.

This is a Rioja Blanco with a clear place at the table. Serve it with seafood rice, fish, a delicate risotto or white meat in a light sauce. Its combination of freshness and breadth also makes it a natural partner for creamy and semi-cured cheeses.
