At the heart of Nemea, where Agiorgitiko has been spoken for centuries, Acra Winery set out to prove the old dialect can still sound fresh. This is a small estate with a sharp focus: farm the land with respect, strip away the clichés, and let the vineyards do the talking.
Founded in 2021 by brothers Spiros and Dimitris Papandreou, family roots run deep here, but Acra doesn’t hide behind tradition. They take the raw fruit of Nemea — sun-drenched grapes, rocky soils, mountain air — and give it a modern edge. Limited production, hands-on farming, clean precision in the cellar. No shortcuts, no noise.
The result is a portfolio that feels like Nemea, but reimagined. Wines that are juicy yet structured, approachable yet serious. Acra isn’t chasing trends. It’s carving its own place in Greece’s most famous red appellation, bottle by bottle.
