Mouchtaro
Mouhtaro is Boeotia’s secret weapon. A grape so rare it nearly disappeared, now reborn in the hands of Samartzis. At altitude, on lean mountain soils, it delivers something no other Greek red can: intensity without heaviness, character without cliché.
The wine is dark-fruited and nervy, with structure that feels built for the long game. Yet it isn’t rustic — it’s polished in the way only careful farming and disciplined cellar work can achieve.
Mouhtaro Red doesn’t try to be Bordeaux, nor does it chase trends. It’s Greece on its own terms — singular, confident, and quietly one of the most compelling reds in the country.
