Antara
On Tinos, Antara is what locals call the low mist that rolls in from the sea — carrying salt, moisture, and the island’s breath as it soaks the vines and the soil. It’s not just weather. It’s a presence.
That’s what this wine captures. 100% Assyrtiko from vineyards at 430 meters, rooted in schist and slate, sculpted by wind and salt. These are not vineyards of comfort. They’re vineyards of survival.
Fermented in steel and aged six months on the lees, Antara is all precision and pulse — citrus and sea spray, minerality that tastes like stone struck clean. No oak, no ornaments, just truth.
Antara isn’t a polite white. It’s the island’s low fog turned liquid — raw, salty, and alive.

On Tinos, the wind doesn’t whisper. It howls. Most people hide. Yiannis “Vaptistis” Moraitis planted vines. Everyone called him crazy. They weren’t wrong—who builds a winery on a rock battered by the meltemi? But that’s exactly why his wines taste alive… Read more
