Macabeu
Clot de les Soleres Macabeu 2022 is a white wine from Penedès, Spain, made from 100% Macabeu. The estate grows its own grapes in Piera, Anoia, and works with organically certified, dry-farmed vineyards.
The winery’s Macabeu method begins with grapes harvested by hand, transported in boxes and pressed whole immediately, without refrigeration. The must settles for 24 hours before moving to stainless steel, where fermentation starts spontaneously after four to five days at a controlled temperature of 17°C.
The wine rests through winter and is bottled in spring on a flower day according to the lunar calendar. Clot de les Soleres makes its wines without added sulphites or other oenological additives, allowing each vintage to reflect its own growing season.
