Founded in Laguardia in 1968, Luis Alegre works at the meeting point of Rioja tradition and contemporary precision. Its vineyards sit beneath the Sierra de Cantabria, where limestone soils carry sandy, clay, iron and saline influences.

The portfolio has two clear voices. The classic Luis Alegre line brings freshness and clarity to Rosé, Blanco Sobre Lías and Crianza. The single-estate wines move closer to the land, with the old vines of Finca La Reñana and the distinctive saline imprint of Parcela Nº5.

Manual harvesting, careful parcel selection and thoughtful élevage keep the wines expressive rather than heavy. The result is a range that moves naturally from energetic by-the-glass placements to serious, cellar-worthy Rioja.
